Founder of Workplace Wellbeing, Jane is a specialist nurse practitioner and clinical educator in occupational health, with a particular interest in welfare issues within the workplace.

Having combined an interest in tropical medicine and humanitarian aid, Jane worked overseas as an NGO medic on several occasions before moving into Occupational Health.  Following two years in the private sector managing the occupational health department of a large investment bank, Jane became Head of the National Crime Squad (NCS) Occupational Health and Welfare Department in 2002, and was responsible for taking the Department forward into the newly formed Serious Organized Crime Agency (SOCA) in 2006.

Two years later Jane joined a UK based medical organisation specialising in remote medicine in hostile environments overseas. During this time Jane set up and managed an international occupational health service, combining this with her role of implementing and teaching advanced first aid, and primary health care. More recently, Jane has been the medic on several overseas expeditions, including the highly acclaimed BBC jungle expedition, “Lost Land of the Volcano”.

Currently providing specific occupational health services, and first aid training for several small/medium enterprises (SME’s) Jane is also the Programme Leader for the Occupational Health module for the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) Remote Medics Diploma, and the lead Welfare Trainer for the USA Federal funded ‘SHIFT’ programme.

Client Feedback

"Jane Stevenson has been an outstanding and invaluable asset working with us to developing the mental health and wellness program for the entire US system of 61 Internet Crimes Against Children task forces and their 2,500+ local law enforcement agency affiliates. With a perfect blend of modesty and deep subject area expertise, Jane brought her 8 years of experience developing similar programs in the UK to bear in the successful fruition of our curriculum development process. She has generously shared her wealth of written materials, research, and personal experience in the field. She has also endeared herself to staff and advisors with her enthusiasm, flexibility, dependability in tight situations, very personable style, and ability to work with every type of personality with integrity, humor and grace. I could not recommend Jane more highly."

"I worked with Jane on a bespoke training programme this year which was delivered to 340 managers.  Her support and commitment throughout were fantastic;  her research, programme design and delivery were of the highest quality.  She's a real professional with an engaging presentation style who cares deeply about getting the message across in the right way.  She did this consistently, to a sometimes challenging audience, over a period of three months and always offered follow up support and advice as necessary.  It was a pleasure working with Jane!"
