The Workplace Wellbeing clinical team and  governance advisory panel is provided by Specialist Practitioners from all fields and disciplines of health care including Physicians, Psychologists, Nurses, Therapists, and Welfare officers, all of whom provide clinical input, advice, and training.

 

Our highly skilled team, together with our governance advisers are an integral part of all Workplace Wellbeing contracts and even when not directly involved in providing a service to the client, advice and support from all members of the panel is readily available.

 

 

Clinical Team

 

Danny Gillard: RGN RMN DOHN BSc (Hon) Management

 

Danny is a highly experienced occupational health adviser with specific skills in complex work station assessments and sickness absence case management. Danny also has considerable experience in advising employers on compliance to specific legislation such as the Disability Discrimination Act and the Health & Safety Act. A registered mental health Nurse, Danny also brings a wealth of knowledge relating to the management of psychological support in the workplace.

 

 

Siân Edwards: RGN Dip OH Nebosh Cert

 

Siân is an Occupational Health Advisor with a wide variety of experience ranging from food production to call centres to retail although the majority of her OH experience (and her preference) is in manufacturing especially in high risk areas. She particularly enjoys working closely with health and safety professionals to ensure that there is health in health and safety and she has the NEBOSH general certificate in health and safety. She has a professional background in general and acute medicine and so carries an interest in condition management and health promotion into her work in Occupational Health. Thoroughly committed to lifelong learning Siân is currently studying for an MSc in Workplace Health to add to her Diploma in Occupational Health and she is a regional director for the professional body the Association of Occupational Health Nurse Practitioners (UK).

 

 

Suzette Botha: Occupational Therapist

 

Occupational therapy can play an important role in injury management & rehabilitation, injury prevention and training and can be a significant support in supporting employees return to the workplace following injury or illness.  Sue is a highly skilled occupational therapist with a particular interest in treating injuries  sustained to the hand and/or wrist.

 

 

Sally Styles: BSc (Hon) Complementary Therapist

 

Sally is a complementary therapist with many valuable years of practitioner experience. Sally, who holds a degree in complementary therapy, is trained in Sports Massage, Indian Head Massage, Clinical Aromatherapy and Reflexology. She also specialises in delivering back, neck and head massage within the workplace.

 

 

Gareth Amui: Business Continuity and Emergency Planning

 

Gareth was an operational fire-fighter for the London Fire Service for over nine years. During this time he was directly responsible for incident ground risk assessments and crew health and safety. Gareth has extensive experience in fire safety, health and safety, and risk management, and this is further complemented by academic and occupational qualifications in Hazard and Disaster management, Business Continuity Management (BCI accredited) and Emergency Planning.

 

 

Julian Mawdesley: Business Support Manager

 

While a Police Detective with the National Crime Squad (NCS), Julian held the post of Secretary for the NCS Police Federation. When the NCS became part of the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) Julian engaged with the Home Office  in negotiating Terms and Conditions, and was also invited to take a position on the committee for the SOCA Benevolent fund, a fund set up to ensure staff had access to appropriate rehabilitation facilities. Now retired, Julian’s role within Workplace Wellbeing is to ensure the smooth implementation of new contracts, together with specific management of several public sector tenders.

 

 

Jayne Taylor: Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

 

Jayne has been a practicing Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Counsellor for over 12 years in the statutory, public and private sectors and has extensive experience in working with adults who experience life/work trauma.  Jayne works extensively in private practice including holding a contract with a Primary Health Care Trust to provide a CBT service to local G.P. practices.  Jayne is also a qualified adult education teacher and has many years experience training adults in interpersonal and communication skills and providing supervised practice for counselling students.

 

 

 

Clinical Governance

 

Dr Charlie Easmon: MBBS, MRCP MSc Public Health DTM & H DocMed

 

Charlie is the Medical Director of YEHS - Your Excellent Health Service based in Harley Street London. He is a 1984 graduate of the University of London - St. George's Hospital Medical School, and now specializes in travel medicine and general practice. Charlie is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK, and an ex-Honorary Lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Charlie provides clinical governance on all travel medicine queries into Workplace Wellbeing.

 

 

Dr John East: MBE MB BCh BAO DAvMed MFOM FCMI

 

A former Chief of Staff to the Director-General Army Medical Services in the UK, John is an accredited consultant in occupational medicine with postgraduate qualification in aviation medicine. He is now Medical Director of CJ HealthWorks Ltd. He is also the Medical Director of the Society of Occupational Medicine, the learned society for occupational physicians.

 

 

Marc Hamilton: Chartered Psychologist

 

Marc is a counselling psychologist accredited with the British Psychological Society (BPS). He has extensive experience in the areas of trauma management services, general counselling services, training and development, mentoring, health education programmes, occupational appraisals and psychological assessments. Director of ‘The Human Perspective’, Marc is responsible for the external psychological governance within Workplace Wellbeing.
